KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia's economy is projected to grow 4.5% to 5.5% this year, compared to 5.1% in 2024, according to the central bank's annual report released on Monday, as the country braces for global uncertainties, including anticipated U.S. tariffs. "As a small, open economy, we will not be totally insulated," Bank Negara Malaysia Gov. Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour said in a statement.
