The Summit STEM Fellowship consists of two sessions. Session I will run from June 23 to July 11, and Session II will run from July 14 to August 1.

But for the past several months, students from Green Tech High School have been working behind the scenes to break down the plans for the pool and present their findings at a statewide conference of workforce professionals. The case study was part of a partnership with the City of Albany, Green Tech, and the Expertise Project.

SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Just off of Union, on Center Street in Schenectady, is a family-owned business, spearheaded by Capital Region natives Ali and Thomas Bland, working to revitalize their piece of the city. CBS6 interviewed the Blands back in June. Since then, their family has grown – now a family of six. It’s not uncommon to see at least one of the little ones in The Schenectady Trading Company. “Jules is our star of the store,” Ali said of her daughter.

Niskayuna Central School District is rebranding from the “Silver Warriors” moniker to "Niskayuna" or “Nisky,” after a statewide mandate requiring schools to remove Native American-themed logos, mascots, names and imagery. The decision was voted on during the School Board’s April 8 meeting. An agenda item for that meeting recommended approval of the replacement “Silver Knights” moniker, as voted on by members of the school community. However, board members opted to go a different route.

TROY, N.Y. (WRGB) — A class of third graders in Lansingburgh Central School District is now learning in a state-of-the-art classroom, thanks to a furniture giveaway from manufacturer KI. In March, CBS6 got a look inside the newly updated classroom, speaking with students about what excited them most. “I think the new classroom is amazing,” one student said. The new tables and chairs were highlighted by other students as their favorite changes to the classroom.
