    SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - An intoxicated man led Sherman police on a pursuit Saturday morning. According to Sherman police, dispatch received a call about a driver asleep behind the wheel just after 3 a.m. Saturday. After officers arrived at the intersection of FM-1417 and the east control road of U.S. Highway 75, they found the driver, Antoine Mathenia, 45, unresponsive. Mathenia woke up after multiple attempts from officers and showed signs of intoxication. He fled the scene and ran over a curb.

    MCCURTAIN COUNTY, Okla. (KXII) - A teenage boy drowned in McCurtain County on Mountain Fork River Saturday. OHP troopers said the drowning occurred 10 miles north of Broken Bow at the Beavers Bend State Park in McCurtain County.  The 16 year-old from Balch Springs, TX was swimming at the swim beach area and swam out to deeper water, later going under for an unknown reason. This body of water is 10 feet deep and troopers say he was not wearing a flotation device.

    PARIS, Texas (KXII) - Two suspects arrested for vehicle burglaries and thefts following a pursuit and joint-effort investigation Saturday. On May 31, the Paris Police Department responded to reports of several vehicle burglaries and discovered a stolen vehicle believed to be connected to the burglaries. Detectives from the Northeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force were notified and contacted the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

    COLLINSVILLE, Texas (KXII) - Collinsville firefighters and assisting agencies responded to calls of a house fire Friday morning. According to Collinsville Fire Chief Damon Stewart, the first Collinsville fire unit arrived at the fully-involved fire on Cobler Road east of Collinsville. Dash cam video of the fire shows flames burning through the rooftop. Stewart says although this is deemed a total loss, no one was injured. The Whitesboro, Tioga, and Gunter fire departments assisted.

    SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The four million dollar renovation of Sherman’s city hall is coming to a close and days away from opening to the public. Two years ago, Sherman city officials pondered on tearing the building down or adding a wing, but the cost effective decision was to stay at the same location and renovate the inside with the latest technology and become more welcoming for Sherman residents.
