Volunteers at the King George V Park have welcomed section 106 funding for improvements totalling almost £25,000. Working with Dudley Council, the Friends of Wordsley Park have identified several priorities for the park, including access to the play area and tarmac works around the MUGA.

Concerns have been raised about two bins in the area, including one on Queen Street behind Revival Fitness, and another on the main High Street. On Queen Street, burst bags were pictured spilling out of a commercial bin, with food waste, packaging and used nappies littering the floor.

The woman, in her sixties, suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision at Aston Wood Golf Club in Little Aston, near Sutton Coldfield, on Friday (April 11), and was airlifted to hospital. She remained in a critical condition until she died in hospital on Tuesday (April 15), Staffordshire Police said.
