    ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The man arrested after Saturday morning's deadly shooting in Kent County now faces multiple criminal charges and possible deportation. Gilberto Hernandez-Mendez is accused of shooting his girlfriend, her sister and mother in their home on Tabor Road just off Alpine Avenue. The mother, a 56-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene on February 22.

    HOLLAND, Mich. — Snow or shine, Holland Harbor is a destination to many in West Michigan. Now, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has received authorization from Congressman Bill Huizenga to perform a study on deepening the water. But there isn’t money for this project, yet. "It’s called a feasibility study, and it's an investigation into deepening the harbor,” said Brian Korzetz, outreach coordinator for the Detroit District Army Corps of Engineers.

    (WXMI) — The death of Jennifer Kasunick, a sophomore at Hope College who was hit and killed by a train, appears to be an accident according to law enforcement. It happened Saturday evening in Holland near 10th and Lincoln. We're told video shows that Jennifer stopped just west of the tracks, but didn't realize how close she was and was clipped by the train. At the scene, FOX 17 was able to see that there are gate arms that block off the road when a train is coming.

    HOLLAND, Mich. — The evening of Jan. 11, Hope College lost one of its own. Junior Jennifer Kasunick was hit and killed by a train near 10th and Lincoln. Now, students and faculty from all across campus are coming together to honor her legacy and remember the impact that she left on the university. “I heard a student today say that she just never had a negative thing to say about anything," said Becky Starkenburg, Vice President for Student Formation and Dean of Students.
