This year, U.S. health officials are urging almost everyone to get an updated COVID-19 vaccination, starting with babies as young as 6 months. Additionally, a new vaccine against RSV is recommended for those 60 and older, as well as for specific pregnant women. While these vaccines may not prevent every infection, they can significantly reduce the severity. The new COVID-19 vaccine targets recent variants of the virus, and due to waning immunity, everyone aged 5 and up should get a shot this fall.
