An industrial estate in Wolverhampton was evacuated when flames broke out on Saturday morning. Firefighters were called to Spring Road Industrial Estate on Lanesfield Drive at about 10:45 GMT. Fifteen tonnes of scrap metal were alight in an open yard, said West Midlands Fire Service which added that police evacuated nearby units as a precaution. A fire service spokesperson said firefighters were set to remain at the scene throughout the day.
