    Fontaines D.C., Kneecap, Orla Gartland and Niamh Regan among the nominees. The shortlist for the RTÉ Choice Music Prize Album of the Year for 2024 has been announced. The ten selected albums for the prize, which is now in its twentieth year, include Romance, the fourth album by Fontaines D.C., Fine Art by Irish-language rap trio Kneecap, indie-pop singer Orla Gartland’s Everybody Needs a Hero, and Letter to Self by punk band Sprints.

Made up of Dawn of Midi’s Aakaash Israni and Cookies’ Ben Sterling, along with four guest vocalists, it is a project ten years in the making, but much worth the wait.
