An international fisheries scientist will offer a free lecture this week about fisheries management and the potential impact of climate change. Sarah Lindley Smith, a fisheries social scientist and marine research associate with the University of Rhode Island's Coastal Resources Centre, will host a public lecture at the Bermuda College on Thursday afternoon in collaboration with the college and the Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce.

A jury heard how a man accused of murder was discovered 20ft up a tree after a search with a canine unit through a wooded area of St David's. QuaZori Brangman, Jukai Burgess, Aaron Perinchief and Nasaje Anderson have denied charges that they murdered 19-year-old Letrae Doeman and used a firearm to commit an indictable offence.

The trial of four men accused of the fatal shooting of a teenager began in the Supreme Court today with the jury watching CCTV footage of the crime. A brief video clip without sound showed a man in dark clothing run through the parking lot of the Brightside Guest House in Flatts. He was followed by a man in a red shirt, who sat with his back to a wall as a motorcycle pulled up to the entrance of the parking area.

After she performed on American Idol, the singer and actor said that she had recorded a music video for her next single on the island. "I am so excited," she said. "The video is called Called You Up. I shot the video in Bermuda.

Fresh plans to build on the former site of an historic house linked to National Hero Mary Prince have been submitted to the Department of Planning. A that was submitted last week proposed the erection of a warehouse, accessory buildings and an electric charging station for the Ocean View Golf Club at 2 Barker's Hill, Devonshire. The documents showed bathrooms, a canteen and office inside the structure along with space for golf carts and maintenance equipment.
