They have established a new hotline to address violence, supported by an army of volunteers dedicated to the mission. Deric Muhammad, a community activist, has witnessed enough bloody summers. He believes in the power of community to create peace where violence once prevailed. Street by street, corner by corner, Deric and other volunteers are promoting a message of non-violence.
