The Until Dawn remake is a tough game to review, because in spirit it is just a graphically updated version of the classic horror game from 2012. That game was good, but attempting to ask full price for this game when the only thing it offers is the graphics overhaul.

Anger Foot is exactly the sort of game that needs to be talked about more. It’s silly, it’s fun, and it’s very well made. If you were to be trapped in an elevator by a madman who wanted to explain whatever this game is, they’d most likely narrow it down to ‘Hotline Miami, but in first person’. A few years ago, a semi-open-world Star Wars adventure was teased, where you played as a bounty hunter. Titled Star Wars 1313, it looked a lot like Uncharted in space, with some explosive bombastic action. It got a lot of folks excited, until it was inevitably quietly cancelled like a lot of other games from the Lucasfilms team, but Star Wars Outlaws is set to rise from the ashes of 1313.

Flintlock The Siege of Dawn is a soulslike hack and slash that tries to do a few things to make itself stand out in the genre, but fails to really carve out a definitive niche. There are good ideas here, but they’re marred by some technical and design failures that turn a promising new contender into a mediocre and, ultimately, forgettable experience.
