Because Greenbelt Lake is so low, the City of Childress and Greenbelt Water Authority are asking their residents to cut back on water usage by 40%. In stage 4, all non-essential water usage is prohibited, including watering your lawn, flowers, or the use of water in a pond or fountain, and more.
