    AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - After an active Wednesday, our First Alert Weather Team recaps some of the severe storms they saw across the Texas and Oklahoma Panhandles. Texas Panhandle:Storms moved into the Texas Panhandle northwest of Dalhart, but they weakened as they approached the team. We followed one stronger storm that started north of Stratford and chased it east to near Borger before heading back towards Amarillo.

Most models indicate that the area to see the highest impacts is the southeastern portion of the region, but other areas, especially the east, are still in play to see thunderstorms.

    AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The Memorial Park Funeral Home & Cemetery hosted a flag ceremony honoring the brave men and women who served our country. Families of the soldiers killed attended the flag ceremony, which was led by Boy Scouts of America Troop 10. The Patriot Guard Riders of Amarillo lined the front entry with flags to honor and remember those lost and their families. The public was invited to help place American flags on the graves of the over 3,000 veterans who were laid to rest.

    AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Fire officials are investigating the cause of a vacant house fire on North Pierce Street near NE 3rd and Buchanan late Sunday night. At around 10:03 p.m., crews initiated a defensive fire attack due to the intensity of the blaze and the vacant status of the building. Officials say the fire was brought under control shortly after midnight. The Amarillo Fire Department says there were no injuries reported. The estimated property loss is valued at $4,721.
