Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) declared the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Class 12 exam results Monday. The pass percentage dropped considerably from last years’s 93.37 per cent to 91.88 per cent this year. While some attribute this gap to the stringent anti-copying measures taken during the exams, according to the Maharashtra State Board, this drop is insignificant.

In a major relief to thousands of aspiring teachers across Maharashtra, the state government has announced that final-year students of B.Ed, D.Ed, and M.Ed courses will now be eligible to appear for the upcoming Teachers Aptitude and Intelligence Test (TAIT), the application window for which will close on May 10.

As government schools across Maharashtra declared the final results on Thursday, a unique experiment unfolded in 12 Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools in Solapur district. A total of 225 students received their results based on an AI-assisted evaluation model called ‘Hack the Classroom’. Their answer sheets were scanned and assessed using artificial intelligence and it was verified by teachers, who parallelly assessed papers physically.

Two students from the city have scored a perfect 100 percent in Indian School Certificate (ISC–Class 12) exam. Both of them–Ishmit Kaur and Aarav Bardhan–are from Bombay Scottish School in Mahim. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ICSE) declared board exam results on Wednesday. Even as the council has stopped issuing merit lists since last year, perfect scorers are definitely among city’s toppers for ISC.

While affiliated colleges can offer AEDP basis guidelines issued by their university, it will be mandatory for each university to enroll a minimum of 300 students in AEDP. Soon a dedicated online system will be made available for student registration. As per the Government Resolution (GR), AEDPs will be specially curated courses by universities in their sector of expertise along with relevant industry partners where students can pursue apprenticeships while studying.
