Sixteen San Diego County arts organizations were awarded a combined $305,000 in grants Tuesday morning from the National Endowment for the Arts. Individual grants to local organizations ranged from $10,000 to $40,000, and they cover a wide range of art forms, including visual art exhibits, a children’s opera, school music composition and choir programs, free dance classes and theater, Latino film and Juneteenth festivals.
