In October 2024, Matt Ruby posted on Substack that he had known President Biden’s age was voters’ top issue for three years. Why? Because every stand-up comedian told jokes about it, and people always laughed. I saw Matt’s post and immediately felt the truth of it. I also felt kind of dumb for being so reticent. I knew that President Biden should not have run again. I said it for years, but I never said it emphatically enough.
