As promised, cooler and less humid air has taken over the region. We do have one disturbance that could spark a few more showers for the mountains tonight. Most stay dry.

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY. OKAY, IT’S TIME FOR TODAY’S PARELLA’S PALS. OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. EMILY FLOYD FROM POWDERSVILLE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, NINE YEARS OLD. I LOVE THE DOLPHIN. LOOK AT THE SUN IN THE BACKGROUND AND ALL OF THE SEA LIFE UNDERNEATH. WE LOVE ALL THE DIFFERENT COLORS OF THE JELLYFISH, BUT I’M BEING HONEST WITH YOU, EMILY. THIS IS THE BEST DOLPHIN I HAVE EVER SEEN IN REAL LIFE OR OTHERWISE. SO KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. WE LOVE IT AND THANK YOU FOR SENDING THIS TO US.

A cool front pushes into the area Friday afternoon creating scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. Gusty winds will get up to 35 mph at times, but stronger winds inside some of these thunderstorms are possible. Hail and strong winds are the primary threat this afternoon. Skies clear tonight as cooler air blankets the region. Brisk mornings return Saturday and even Sunday with high temperatures near 80.Next week will be much warmer with high temperatures near 90 by the end of the week.
