LINCOLN - The Norfolk baseball team looked to snap a four-game skid when they battled Lincoln Southeast on the road. The Panthers held a 4-2 lead heading to the bottom of the seventh inning before the Knights produced two runs to tie, sending the game to extras. After a scoreless eighth, Lincoln Southeast was able to produce a walk-off run in the ninth as they defeated Norfolk 5-4.

WEST POINT - The annual Booster/Lions Club Invite took center stage in Wisner Saturday as teams from across Northeast and Eastern Nebraska looked to bring home hardware. On the girls side, Pierce once again ran away with a firs place finishat 153.5 points, while the host Gators took second with 101 points.

HOMER - Eleven boys teams and ten girls teams made the trip to Homer Friday for the annual Ivan Krumwiede Invitational. It was the host Knights who took the top spot on the girls side with 109 points, while Cedar Catholic was your runners-up with 93 points. The Trojans, however, dominated on the boys side, racking up 208.5 points for a first-place finish. Archbishop Bergan out of Fremont was second with 98 points.

WEST POINT - The snow is most likely (and hopefully) gone in Northeast Nebraska for now, and that means teams made the trip to West Point for the annual Snowmelt meet on Thursday. The host Cadets came out on top in boys action with 119 points, while Howells-Dodge came out second with 76 points. On the girls side, Pender captured another team title with 118 points while East Husker foe Clarkson/Leigh's 102 points were good enough for a runner-up finish.
