Gloria graduated from Schenley High School. As a child, she aspired to be a singer and dress designer; Gloria loved fashion and clothing. She worked for TWA Airlines as a reservationist. Gloria started out at Lerner’s Dept Store then worked for Prices Dress Shop, an upscale dress shop in Pittsburgh.

He was born on January 12, 1944, in Pittsburgh, the son of the late Leland W. and Marcella (Grabe) Oesterling. Charles earned his associate degree from Butler County Community College. He proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years as an aircraft technician, deployed with the 523rd Tactical Fighter Squadron to numerous locations throughout Southeast Asia.
