A man has died after a house fire broke out in Blacktown in Sydney’s west on Saturday afternoon. Officers from Blacktown Local Area Command and Fire & Rescue NSW arrived about 4.05pm at Grant Street to find a weatherboard home well alight. “Whilst doing a primary search in that premises, firefighters did remove one patient from that structure with some burns and commenced CPR prior to ambulance arrival,” Fire & Rescue NSW Superintendent Grant Rice said.
