THURSDAY: Another day, another chance for rain and storms to move back into the fold as the week wears on. A few showers may be possible early; expect mostly to variably cloudy skies with highs in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Scattered storms roll towards the area through late afternoon and early evening. A fewgusty stormscan’t be ruled out. Scattered storms will gradually exit the area overnight as lows fall back into the 60s.

WEDNESDAY: A quieter look toward mid-week as our pattern begins to switch up a bit as we near the end of the month of May. Expect variably cloudy skies – highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. A passing, lingering shower can’t be ruled out – but chances will remain much lower than in recent days. TUESDAY: The final tendril of this low will pivot the Mid-South through the course of the day, helping to kick off another wave of scattered showers and storms. Drier air late may be able to scour out the clouds for some sun as highs rebound into the middle to upper 70s. We’ll stay variably to mostly cloudy overnight with lows in the 60s. MEMORIAL DAY: As an area of low pressure starts to make a move eastward, expect several waves of rain and storms to push across the region. Highs will top out in the lower to middle 70s. Rain may be quite heavy, at times, with a risk of a gusty storm or two. The heavy downpours could lead to localized flooding concerns. Scattered showers and storms may continue overnight as lows fall back into the middle to upper 60s.

SUNDAY: While the start of the day may kick off without much fanfare, scattered storms look to return through mid-late morning, impacting some areas through mid-afternoon. A few of the storms could, once again, feature strong wind, hail and torrential rain. Highs will rebound into the 70s. Rain and storms taper off for a few hours before coverage picks back up through the overnight period, heading into Memorial Day.
