All rebuilding projects aren’t built the same. Seemingly content to take a patient path back to NBA significance behind a young group needing time to grow together, the Raptors accelerated that process by an order of magnitude overnight Wednesday. By acquiring former all-star forward Brandon Ingram from the New Orleans Pelicans the day before the league’s trade deadline arrived, Raptors president Masai Ujiri and general manager Bobby Webster accelerated a rebuild that began just last season.
