Like many other things in life, Christmas takes on different meanings for different people. For some, it’s about the time spent with their families. To others it’s about celebrating the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. To the Gothenburg United Method Church (GUMC), it’s about charity and giving back to the community, as well as helping people to overcome any hardships that they may face during the holiday season. Every year, the GUMC puts on a mission outreach program called Gifts from the Heart.

The first two entries in the Deadpool franchise were among my favorite releases of 2016/2018 respectively. They were laugh out loud funny, moved a mile-a-minute, and offered a fourth wall breaking, madcap rampage amid the height of "they're taking this all too seriously" comic book films.

There are quite a few terrific local butcher shops in Kansas City but I've never been able to find one with everything I'm looking for until now. July 9, 2017 my life forever changed. I attended my first screening of The Room in Los Angeles, hosted by Tommy Wiseau. This is a movie that came out in 2003 that was written, directed, and starred Wiseau. It lives on in the pantheon like Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outer Space and is considered to be the worst movie of all time. At these screenings, people throw spoons and yell out lines as they happen. It's an incredible theatrical experience and that's what made me fall in love with it.
