(WLUK) -- A large pattern change is occurring in the Pacific Ocean. The El Nino that was partially responsible for our warm winter is rapidly going away. With such a major change underway, I wanted to see if that has an impact on the amount of severe weather that we experience. Over the winter we had a powerful El Nino that peaked in December at around +2.0 C. That was on par with the strong El Ninos from 2016, 2010, and 1998.
