June appears it is trying to act itself out as normal whatever that is anymore. Morning clouds and afternoon sunshine are the standard for the month of June. I mentioned last week that we are close to the northern jet stream which is weak in the summer months but still affects us with clouds and moisture. We’ll enjoy a pleasant day today and then a weak weather disturbance spins out of a large area of low pressure. Expect sprinkles on Wednesday but rain amounts may not be measurable.

News / Clark County News By Patrick Timm, Columbian freelance columnist Published: June 14, 2025, 6:05am A typical June weather pattern is in store for us the next 10 days or so. This translates to morning clouds, afternoon sunshine, brisk northwest winds at times and highs mostly in the 70s. Clouds will break up early some days by noon and other days may hang on into the afternoon. There is a chance of light showers or drizzle Tuesday and Wednesday and again next weekend. A pleasant push of marine air arrived early Wednesday morning keeping sunshine at bay at the noon hour. Temperatures were in the 60s and humidity was higher. Temperatures around the county were in the mid- to upper 90s. The record high temperature for Vancouver on Sunday was 95 degrees set in 1903. Unfortunately, the automated weather station was out of commission this past weekend. Portland set a record with 96 degrees. So, I’m sure it was close to tying the record here. Last year, we...

Are you ready for summerlike weather? Well, it’s here, folks. Highs will inch into the 90s Sunday and Monday. Today will be warm as well but may end up a degree or two below 90. Regardless, we will endure a three-day heat wave and record the warmest high temperature of the year this weekend. The good news is our natural air conditioner off the Pacific will infiltrate areas west of the Cascades beginning Tuesday and deepen as the week wears on. Highs will be in the 70s Wednesday and beyond.
