Thankfully I did not even venture into internet rabbit holes, so the information and advice was finite. Yet what I valued more than everything that I read, was spending time with veteran homeschoolers and asking them about their experience.

The main service I provide here at ETW is careful curation. It’s anti-algorithm work. The tricky thing about those algorithm-driven content machines is that the consumer has the illusion of control and discovery when in fact the algorithm has its own purposes and priorities. Far better to operate on a human scale, with its own eccentricities and whims.

    Last night I sat down to dinner with state Sen. Treg Bernt from District 21. Treg is a fourth-generation Idahoan and a graduate of Idaho State University. He is a lifelong Republican and a small business owner. You would recognize him — he is just the kind of stable, reasonable and intelligent Republican that is no longer welcome by today’s Kootenai County Republican Central Committee. I imagine they would refer to him as a “RINO” as they do so many of our staunchly conservative neighbors.
