    Parents, staff and community leaders celebrated the opening of Northstar Academy's new gymnasium and community center, but it was the students who starred at the ceremonial ribbon-cutting on April 25.  Although elected officials – including U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman and Virginia Delegate David Owen – were among the dignitaries who attended the ribbon-cutting, they remained seated throughout the event, and student performances ruled.

    On April 11, Glen Allen Elementary School students and staff enjoyed a mini-reunion with former students who are now high school seniors. The soon-to-be-graduates – who started kindergarten in 2012 and left as fifth-graders in 2019 – returned to their alma mater for a Senior Walk, coming not only from Glen Allen and Deep Run high schools, but also from specialty centers and other schools.
