"Cavalcade" recently welcomed David Sheff, who has written a new biography Yoko. David offers a glimpse into the Yoko Ono we don't know, and to tell tales anew. Yoko has an incredible backstory as a woman who was born into privilege in Japan before her family descended into ruin.

"Cavalcade" at 6 p.m. welcomes author David Sheff, presenting his new biography Yoko. David joins at 7 p.m. to offer a glimpse into the Yoko Ono we don't know, and to tell the tall tales anew. In between the conversation, I'll feature Yoko songs done by David Byrne, Japanese Breakfast, Patti Smith, Roberta Flack, Flaming Lips and many more. Our Easter Sunday soirée features block programming by the hour (Murray the K fans will relate). New offerings by Suzanne Vega, Lana Del Rey, Arcade Fire, The Kooks, and New Pornographers. Elton John and Brandi Carlile offer a loving and very musical salute to Laura Nyro on their new collaboration. In between, lots of musical Easter eggs to keep it lively. "Cavalcade," Sundays from 6-9 p.m., on 90.7 FM, streaming online and in the Archives after broadcast.

It's Holy Week leading up to Easter Sunday. Today is Holy Thursday, the day Christians commemorate the last supper. We'll use that as an excuse to play your favorite songs that mention Jesus just after 9 a.m. Sponsored by the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, CT, featuring "Blanche Lazzell: Becoming an American Modernist." brucemuseum.org.

@PaulCavalconte I'm really REALLY missing the New Standards channel on WNYC. It was my "go to" music source for years, but nothing lasts forever.
