Las Vegas police are asking for the public’s help finding three people and a vehicle that may have been involved in a train derailment. The Metropolitan Police Department said it received a report May 23 about a train derailment in the 9700 block of South Rainbow Boulevard. The derailment activated train crossing barriers, which caused traffic issues. Officers discovered that someone had tampered with three railroad carts, police said.

An iconic Las Vegas museum has found a way to thank the men and women in uniform for their service. The Neon Museum announced Monday that it will offer free general admission to members of the military and their families. The free admission program begins Saturday, May 17 (Armed Forces Day) and runs through Monday, Sept. 1 (Labor Day). Tickets are available at neonmuseum.org.

UNLV has named an interim head for its medical school. The university announced Wednesday that it has appointed Dr. Alison Netski as interim dean of the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine and interim vice president for health affairs at UNLV. A Nevada native, Netski graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine in 2001. She has practiced psychiatry in Southern Nevada for nearly two decades, according to UNLV.

A suspect has been arrested in a fatal shooting two weeks ago in a casino parking lot in the west Las Vegas Valley. Salvador Delgadillo, 37, was taken into custody Monday and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on suspicion of open murder, the Metropolitan Police Department said Tuesday.

The current Sphere residents aren’t ready to take it easy just yet. The Eagles announced four new dates Tuesday for their residency at the famous Las Vegas venue. The new shows are slated for Sept. 5, 6, 12 and 13. This brings the band’s total to 36 shows. The artist’s presale for the new shows begins Tuesday at 10 a.m. at eagles.com. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting March 28. The Eagles are also reportedly working on a Sphere concert film.
