At times, it is hard to come up with introductions for these reviews, you know. See, it’s not always as easy as sitting down and feeling the words flowing from my brain through the keyboard directly to your eyes. Sometimes it is hard to be inspIred by the subject of the review, whereas at other times, it’s something as simple as a late night dulling the creative juices. I’ll let you decide what the issue is this time around.

From NeocoreGames is another entry in the not noticeably sparse tactical genre. Going by the name of King Arthur: Legion IX, it should come as no surprise to learn that the setting for the game is the Arthurian legend, and while we don’t play as ol’ Kingy himself, the characters we do play as are pretty interesting. So, is there room for another turn based tactical game, which is crossed with a traditional RPG, or are we better off playing any of the other numerous other games in this vein?

When news broke through the reviewer’s network (well, when my editor told me about it) of a new game involving pirates, I was immediately interested. Well, have you ever made one of those calls that you ended up regretting?

This is going to be a hard review to write. I love Elden Ring; both the main game and that of the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. I love it so much that if there was such a thing as a favourite developer, FromSoftware would be right up there. Elden Ring Nightreign from those at FromSoftware and Bandai Namco then should be a no-brainer; a game set in the universe of the classic Elden Ring, just this time pulling in a bit of a multiplayer twist on things. And luckily, the multiplayer here is cooperative.

Coming from Atomic Elbow and Aurora Punks is a third person action adventure featuring a knight with a heart of gold. The game goes by the unlikely name of Sir Whoopass: Immortal Death, and features the titular hero heading off as they attempt to save the world. So far, so normal, right? Well, this game has set its stall out on being a little bit out of the ordinary by relying on humour to make an impact.
