    Mr Mullooly said he is “horrified” by the case and called on the Garda Commissioner to launch a “completely new” investigation into the circumstances of Mr Farrell’s death. The body of the 87-year-old widower was discovered on January 12, 2020, by his daughter lying at the back of the family home where he lived alone near the village of Rooskey in Co Leitrim. A post-mortem examination showed that the widower died as a result of a heart attack caused by severe coronary heart disease.
