1. IntroductionAccording to Ben Russell [1], the study of the economics of the Roman stone trade is important because stone objects are among the most permanent material vestiges of Roman antiquity, with benefits for historians and archaeologists, and their study can provide valuable and relevant information on the Roman construction process and economy: origin, extraction, manufacture, transport, distribution, and installation.
