MULTNOMAH COUNTY Ore. (KPTV) - FOX 12 Investigates has been reporting on ambulance response times in Multnomah County for the last year and a half. What started as coverage on an increase in the volume of 911 calls, lead to questions over the county’s ambulance staffing model, which at the time required two paramedics per ambulance. These factors combined to make higher wait times for people needing an ambulance. A new plan, started back in July 2024, aimed to fix that.
