… as 120 schools The third edition of the Igiehon Mathematics Tournament is set to take place on Saturday, at the Victor Uwaifo Creative Hub in Benin City, the Edo State capital. The tournament sponsored by Ighiehon Foundation For Academic Excellence has already secured a 750-1,000 seater venue at the Creative Hub, which promises to be bigger with around 100-120 schools expected to compete in the tournament.

The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has confirmed that its current Director-General, Nigeria’s Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, is the sole candidate for the position and is now poised to serve a second four-year term when he current term ends August 31, 2025. According to a statement from the organization on Saturday, Okonjo-Iweala had earlier confirmed her willingness to serve a second four-year term in a letter to the chair on September 16.

The Nigeria Police Force has assured the general public of its unwavering readiness to ensure security in the forthcoming November 16 governorship election in Ondo State. In a statement released on Sunday, the Force spokesman, Muyiwa Adejobi, said specialized police units, including the Special Intervention Squad, Police Mobile Force, Counter-Terrorism unit, among others, have been deployed to Ondo ahead of the election.
