‘Long Live Lagos’, the highly anticipated documentary chronicling the life and career of Grammy-winning Nigerian artiste Wizkid, will premiere at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. The Tribeca festival is an annual film festival in New York City showcasing a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. Notably, Nigerian actress Stephanie Linus previously served on the festival’s jury in 2023.

Inih Ebong, an associate professor of theatre arts, who was sacked by the University of Uyo (UniUyo) in 2002, has passed away at 73. Premium Times reports that Ebong died in the early hours of Wednesday. It was said that Uduak, Ebong’s wife, announced the death to the public around 7 am. Uduak recounted that her husband was awake until late into the night, engaging her in conversation while she urged him to rest. She eventually drifted off to sleep, only to awaken and find him unresponsive.
