Mike Figgis' 1995 film "Leaving Las Vegas" is one of the best films of the 20th century and, in my opinion, the magnum opus of 90s cinema. To call it just a film, however, is insulting. This is a work of art, a piece of history that belongs in a museum, covered by transparent acrylic. Adapted from the novel of the same name, "Leaving Las Vegas" follows the life of "alcoholic" Hollywood agent Ben Sanderson and his escapades.
