Traffic Stop in Belleville and Warrant in Quinte West, Over $100K in Drugs SeizedOne person is facing a long list of charges after a significant seizure of illegal drugs in Quinte West and Belleville. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Region Community Street Crime Unit and Belleville Police Service Project Renewal began an investigation in April into drug trafficking in the Quinte area.

Cobourg’s dredger has been out of commission for a few days undergoing repairs. The dredge used for removing accumulated sand and silt which contributes to shallow waters and hinders boat anchoring was working in Cobourg Harbour recently when one of the pontoons started taking on water. The pontoon required to be drained and patched, however, to do this, the dredge needed to be towed out of the water and placed on stands during the repair.

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged an individual in relation to a death investigation at the Warkworth Institution. On Sunday, May 28, 2023, shortly after 7:00 p.m., the Northumberland OPP received information regarding an incident involving inmates at the institution. One person sustained serious injuries.

This initiative commemorates the Club’s quarter-century of dedication to “Service Above Self” and aims to invest in the future of Northumberland County by supporting a transformative local initiative. This grant is above and beyond the $17,000- $20,000 in funds it distributes to the community in a typical year.
