Texas Tech Defense Preview 2025: Transfer Portal Rescues the Red Raiders originally appeared on College Football News. The defense killed the 2024 season. There was little pass rush, the D allowed 460 yards and 35 points per game, and only Tulsa allowed more passing yards. The Red Raiders allowed 35 points or more eight times, and the 453 total points were the most given up since 2016. But this is the transfer portal era, and WOW, did Texas Tech - potentially - fix the glitch.
