Snow ends Monday morning but strong winds last all day

We'll have some snow showers Monday morning, otherwise mostly cloudy and windy with a high near 40. Winds could gust to 40 mph today. A few northern counties are still under weather alerts. We'll have a mix of sun and clouds Tuesday and a high of 42. The rest of the work week will be quiet but our Next Weathermaker brings a variety of precipitation to the area this weekend. Right now it looks like rain on Saturday and a chance of snow or a wintry mix of Sunday.

We'll have increasing clouds Friday with wind gusts to 30 mph. The high will be 50. We'll see rain showers and possible snow showers late today but little or no accumulation of snow. Saturday will be partly cloudy with a high of 36. Sunday brings Our Next Weathermaker with clouds and wind with rain and snow to the region. High of 42. Winds will gust to 35 mph and the bigger snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are most likely to the north, but Green Bay and the Fox Cities could pick up snow as well.

We are digging out from Winter Storm Ezra. The northwest counties are digging out more so than Green Bay and the Fox Cities. Snow totals of 9 inches was reported in Crivitz in Marinette County; 7 inches in Lakewood (Oconto County) and 2.4 inches in Green Bay. The winds will diminish today but we will still see gusts to 30 mph. Thursday will be breezy and become mostly sunny with a high of 37. Friday will be cloudy with a high of 49. Some rain showers are possible in the evening.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a high of 50. Rain and wind will be the main impacts for most of us on Wednesday with winds gusting 30 to 40 miles per hour. The high reaches 40. The precipitation far northwest -- Langlade, Forest, and Florence counties in our area-- may be all snow, and more than 6 inches is possible there. (WLUK) -- If you noticed hazy, yellow-orange skies Saturday morning, you weren't alone. This was caused by a powerful low-pressure system that tracked across the Midwest Friday, which carried dust all the way from Texas. Texas and parts of the Southern Plains have been seeing dry conditions, leaving the soil loose, which can be easily lifted into the air. When a strong weather system with high winds moves through, it can pick up and transport dust over thousands of miles.
