LAKE GEORGE — John Irion was officially approved as the next head coach of the Warrensburg-Lake George-Bolton football program at Tuesday night's meeting of the Lake George Board of Education. Irion, the longtime former Queensbury coach, had been recommended as the Wolverines' new mentor after an interview process that included former coach Mike Perrone. Irion's appointment was approved unanimously by the school board at Lake George, where most of the Wolverines' players attend.

Former Queensbury and Granville football coach John Irion has been recommended as the next head coach of the Warrensburg-Lake George-Bolton football program. The move was announced Thursday as a post on the Warrensburg Central School website, pending approval by the Lake George Board of Education at the April 8 board meeting.
