All Dublin GAA Dublin used one of their nine lives as they started their Leinster round robin campaign with a 1-25 to 2-19 victory over Offaly at Parnell Park. The Boys in Blue hadn't lost to the midlanders in championship since 2007 but it looked like it was going to be Offaly's day when they led by three points with a couple of minutes to go.

All Sport Dublin are set to begin their Leinster Hurling Championship on Saturday evening against Offaly at Parnell Park. The game will mark a first championship outing in the reign of Niall Ó Ceallaháin who takes over from Micheál Donoghue, who has returned to his native Galway. A slightly disappointing National League campaign saw the Dubs lose to Waterford and Saturday's opponents, thus missing out on promotion to the top flight.

Dessie Farrell cut a frustrated figure after watching his side see off Wicklow yesterday at Echelon Park in Aughrim. The Dubs manager made some late changes to his squad ahead of their nine-point win, with Greg McEnaney brought in at half back, while Nathan Doran wore number 6 and replaced Cian Murphy on the bench. Hugh O'Sullivan, making his championship debut on the day, came into goals, with Evan Comerford on the bench - meaning Stephen Cluxton was not included in the match day panel.
