    The prime minister has said he will deliver on his promise of a Hillsborough law after campaigners said they hadn’t been told about the legislation on the 36th anniversary of the disaster. Sir Keir Starmer had pledged to introduce the law, which it is hoped will include a legal duty of candour on public authorities, before this year's anniversary of the tragedy on April 15, 1989. But this week Downing Street said more time was needed to draft the “best version”.
