Two men have been charged after they allegedly managed to bypass security and bring loaded guns into the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) during a packed AFL match. The men attended Thursday night’s football match between Carlton and Collingwood with the firearms. Around 82,000 people were in attendance. It’s alleged weapons were found hidden in the pants of the men. Police were alerted to the pair after one began causing issues in the crowd in the second half of the game, The Age reported.

Initial autopsy results on the bodies of Hollywood legend Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa have been released. Santa Fe Police Department has said neither body showed signs of “external trauma”. The deaths are still being treated as “suspicious”. The Hackman family have said they are baffled as to what caused the mysterious deaths stating the actor was “in very good health”, and that he did yoga and pilates regularly.

Australia is bracing for the possibility of five cyclones to hit over the weekend. A monsoon surge forecast to move through Indonesia and into northern Australia’s waters means there are five tropical lows forming off the coast of Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia. Senior Meteorologist at the Bureau of Meteorology Angus Hines said while is was unlikely all five would develop into a cyclone, there was “a chance”, and to see this much activity was “unusual”.
