Les “Glasgow” Kiss is currently one of the front-runners for the Wallabies coaching job, alongside Michael “Mad Dog” Cheika, Stephen “Formaldehyde” Larkham, Dan “Could be worse, I guess” McKellar, and Stuart “Stuart” Lancaster. Amid that reasonably warm field, Kiss’s credentials are stacking up well.

No matter how good you are, there will always be people who believe someone else is better. That is the case with Australian rugby great Paul McLean who vied with the intuitive Mark Ella for the Wallaby pivot role. The closest New Zealand came to this type of situation was Grant Fox and Frano Botica or maybe even Carlos Spencer and Andrew Mehrtens as McLean was arguably a better runner with the ball than Fox and may have had more in common with Mehrtens.

As with any discussion there are two sides to the coin and this article is in response to The Roar’s article about David Campese’s claims that he had been “cancelled” by the Australian media. I approached Campese with a view to finding out more about the man, as I believed the article did not fully represent who Campese is as a human being. I must admit to being a little shocked at the general tone of the piece and wondered what had Campo done that was so terribly wrong.
