    James Glenday will take over from Michael Rowland as News Breakfast co-presenter in 2025. Catherine Murphy will replace Tony Armstrong as full-time sports presenter. Rowland's last day on News Breakfast will be Friday December13, with the full new line up starting on Monday January 20. James Glenday will switch from presenting the evening news in Canberra to early mornings on a couch in Melbourne as the new co-host of ABC News Breakfast in 2025.

    Public transport advocates and a union say they warned Transport Canberra about problems with the MyWay+ ticketing system. Many passengers couldn't tap on or off when the system went live on Wednesday. Transport Minister Chris Steel says solutions are being rolled out and most customers can now use the ticketing system. The drivers' union and public transport advocates say they warned ACT government transport officials that the new MyWay+ ticketing system wasn't ready ahead of yesterday's rollout.

    A new-look cabinet will look to shake up the ACT public service after Chief Minister Andrew Barr said the government had been let down by bureaucrats in some areas. Mr Barr today announced his new cabinet following the October territory election. The chief minister will relinquish the treasury portfolio to planning and transport minister Chris Steel, while Health Minister Rachel Stephen-Smith will add the new role of finance minister to her responsibilities.
