Vienna (energate) - Austria needs new gas-fired power stations. Peter Weinelt, CEO of Stadtwerke Wien, makes this demand in an interview with energate. The existing infrastructure is insufficient to cope with the increasing volatility of renewable energies. "Many gas-fired power plants are at the end of their technical service life. New controllable capacities fuelled by renewable gases or hydrogen will be necessary," said the CEO of Austria's largest municipal service provider.

Vienna (energate) - Austria has achieved an international pioneering feat: The gas storage operator RAG Austria has successfully stored and extracted hydrogen for the first time on a large scale and under real conditions at the Rubensdorf underground storage facility. A broad-based consortium from the gas industry, heavy industry and research was involved in the project. RAG successfully carried out two storage cycles - one with 75,000 and the second with around 500,000 cubic metres of hydrogen.

The company is active in Thailand, Laos, Myanmar and Cambodia and has been selling Innio engines in the region for ten years. The company has 70 employees and specialises in the sale of motors and generators, after-sales support, service and the overhaul of systems.
