This special focus issue on coronary artery spasm is dedicated to the memory of Prof Attilio Maseri, a cardiology giant, who sadly died in 2021 but not without leaving an indelible legacy. Born in Udine, Italy, Prof Maseri trained in cardiology and nuclear medicine. He held fellowship positions at Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University in the US.

Our meteorologists are tracking rain that has the potential to be strong in parts of the state this morning. There will be light to moderate scattered showers through 6 a.m. There is a potential for a few isolated stronger storms after that with a level one risk still posted for most of the state. It looks like the threat for stronger storms is the highest in southern and eastern Connecticut. Later this afternoon, a few isolated showers or storms cannot be ruled out as well.

The Strait of Malacca can be described in a myriad of ways. One of the busiest waterways on the planet, it is also referred to as the “longkang” by the diving community given its cloudy waters, which starkly contrast with the azure, glassy seas off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
