BOWLING GREEN — The Crystal Rogers murder case is underway 10 years after the Bardstown mother of five disappeared, with Tuesday featuring jury selection and Wednesday diving into opening statements and the first group of witness testimony. Rogers was 35 years old and a mother of five when she went missing on July 4 weekend 2015, and while prosecutors and investigators have admitted her body has yet to be found, three men have been indicted in connection with her disappearance.

A Navy veteran and a single mother, Dean said she’s long been interested in politics and came up through the Nelson County Democratic Party.

Nelson County Road Department supervisor Brad Spalding presented a list of 16 upcoming paving jobs at Tuesday’s Fiscal Court meeting, with a total of $731,992 in flex funds from the state paying for the projects. The largest two projects include paving Shady Lane in the Boston area from Keith Knob to Boston Road, 2.25 miles, for $160,000, and Yates Cooney Neck Road for 2.3 miles leading up to its intersection with Ky. 55 near Bloomfield, at a cost of $173,000.
