Pier Guidi was able to take advantage of full course yellows to conserve energy and keep the lead after a late stop. From there, he held on to win the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps with teammates James Calado and Antonio Giovinazzi.

    CarBahn Motorsports with Peregrine Racing’s Sean McAlister set a lap at 90.157 mph late Friday afternoon (May 9) in the closing minutes of qualifying. That lap held up to give McAlister the pole for the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca 120. McAlister won the pole by a mere .009 seconds over Moisey Uretsky, now racing under the banner of Ibiza Farm Motorsports. Note that Uretsky has not switched teams since Sebring.

    This weekend is going to be a busy time in motorsports. Kansas Speedway will host a tripleheader of racing. The NTT IndyCar Series will start a three-week stretch at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, while IMSA will be at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The FIA World Endurance Championship will race for six hours Saturday at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. But let’s start off by diving into the NASCAR TV schedule this weekend.

    This weekend, IMSA returns to action for the first time in nearly a month. For GTD Pro teams, it’s closer to two months. For Sunday’s TireRack.com Monterey SportsCar Championship, there are 36 teams entered. In the GTP class, there are 11 teams entered. These are the same 11 teams that raced in Long Beach last month. This is also the first conflict weekend with the FIA World Endurance Championship, which races Saturday at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

    NASCAR on TV in 2025 is much more changeable than it was in the past for the NASCAR Cup Series. Last year, we only had two TV partners in FOX Sports and NBC Sports. Now, we have four. On Tuesday (May 6), Warner Bros. Discovery announced their on-air team for their five-race miniseries that starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway on June 28 on TNT and Max. For the most part, everyone involved will be familiar to you. They’ll just be in different places.
