I’m back again with Kary Klismet, a longtime reader, contributor and all around great guy. Kary introduced his “Dressed for the Season” series back in 2023, and has been updating his DFTS columns for 2025. Since I took over for Paul as UW editor last May, Kary has treated us to “holiday appropriate” uniforms for Independence Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving (Part I and Part II), Christmas (Part I and Part II), Valentine’s Day, and finally, St. Paddy’s Day (Part I and Part II).

Good morning, Uni Watchers. It’s Friday. We made it. Once again, my deepest thanks to Paul and the UW crew for their assistance this week, and to all you fine readers for all your kind thoughts. It is greatly appreciated. Today I’m joined by long-time reader and uniform designer Sawyer Busny. You may recall Paul featured Sawyer’s design work last May, when he took us through his men’s lacrosse jersey designs for the Colby College Mules.

[Editor’s note: Welcome back to the return of “Collector’s Corner” to Uni Watch. Although no longer run by Brinke Guthrie, it has been ably resurrected by Chris Weir. Chris approached me about restarting CC, vowing to uphold the old look and style, but with one new twist: he will make each edition timely with what is going on currently in the sports world (i.e. rivalry games, big events, anniversary of events). Enjoy and please give Chris some feedback about the new (old) feature.

Good morning, Uni Watchers. Just a quick programming note: first, thanks again to all for your kind thoughts the past couple days. Today is the viewing, so I’ll be off the grid for most of today, and tomorrow will be the funeral service and burial, so I will also be away from the boards on Thursday. Paul and the UW crew have been admirably filling in while I tend to these matters, and I thank them for all their efforts and support.

Last week, we had another “Question of the Week” from Mike Chamernik, and he’s back today with his latest QOTW. Enjoy!• • • • • Question of the Weekby Mike ChamernikRory McIlroy won The Masters on Sunday. It wasn’t easy — and that’s what made the finish so perfect. After winning four majors as a young phenom, McIlroy endured a rough 11-year drought. He racked up tournament wins and trophies, but couldn’t win another major, especially The Masters, which would complete a legendary career grand slam.
